Product design & art direction
This Bastille bike features more than 300 custom parts, a unique frame assembly and 3 associated patents: the removable stem, the retractable seatpost, and the frame folding/unfolding kinematics — the project’s main innovation.
These feats of ingenuity allow this classically dimensioned bike to fold down in seconds, making it easy to transport and store on a train, in a car trunk, or in any tight space.
Starting from a blank page, this was a highly innovative project involving qualified teams across diverse fields to bring an entirely new industrial product to life.
Several years of development, together with Gilles Henry, founder of Bastille Cycles and inventor of this unique folding solution.
